六、 It’s a very well taught course by Master Chen. This is our second course with him and we come from New York. He taught us the 5 Animals Qigong and gave a lot of Wudang Internal and Daoist theory. Through our 4 days of training, I did feel a deeper inside energy development with a calm, slow qigong motion. With his open-minded teaching, all my questions got answered clearly. 十一、When I arrived I explained to Sifu Chen that I had injuries in my knees and pain in the sciatic nerve on my right side. I was not certain that I could undertake this training but Sifu Chen said he could help improve my strength and health. To that affect, he taught me the standing meditation of Zhan Zhuang, which strengthens the deep structure of the entire body and further stimulates the circulation of Qi. This practice alone has had a tremendous effect on my overall feeling of health and strength. Sifu Chen also taught Taoyin, Five Animals forms, and 9 steps Taichi. Each of these forms increase strength, flexibility and promote the accumulation of Qi. After one month of training my problems with weakened knees and sciatic nerve pain have been nearly completely eliminated. I feel stronger and healthier than I have for many years. Sifu Chen’s attention to the details of my training has helped me to understand the Taichi principles of movement and to apply them not only to the sets of qigong and taichichuan but to all movement. I look forward to further study with Sifu Chen. He is an excellent teacher and truly a master of Wudang gongfu. -Sept 2016, Carrol Miller
十二、 I was very pleased when master Chen told us our schedule, it sounded serious and professional. The standing meditation was a challenge in the beginning, I did count my breaths to have a certain kind of control over time. In time I could let this go and focus more on my breath and body sensations. I could feel my center and back getting stronger. Sometimes after standing I felt like bamboo in the wind, strong, flexible and alive. My center feels like a big, soft, flexible, energetic ball, feels great. The standing and walking helped me to feel the internal strength, being aware of my back and move like one during the 36 step Taijiquan. I feel I have been able to deepen my ability to perform the 36 step. I experienced the meditation as relaxing after the strong physical demanding 36 step and standing and walking exercises. So all in all a good building to bring the inside alive and combine it with the outside. Thank you for that. - April 2012, Peter
